Whichever way we look at them, nearly all weddings are a costly celebration for a young couple embarking on an expensive journey of life together. For this reason, Mandalay Villas refuses to rigidly stipulate how a wedding day must be organized, (unlike several other venues in the Hunter Valley) or how colossal the minimum cost is likely to be. We respect the fact that needs, desires and budgets differ greatly, and that we’re here to assist couples not deter them.
So, should you only want to rent out our villas, or the main house, or just the garden, be responsible for the catering, or the provision of alcoholic beverages, so be it. If, on the other hand, you’d prefer us to handle the whole event, we’re happy to oblige. More than anything, you’ll find us to be totally flexible and willing to listen to suggestions. After all, it’s your big day, not ours.
We already have dealings with a charming, female celebrant, likewise, exuberant local musicians for the party afterwards. We can provide affordable wines, introduce couples to caterers and marquee companies, and put them in touch with a vintage car company, or, if the bride prefers a dramatic entrance, a helicopter company which has permission to land in the garden. We can also arrange accommodation for the guests and winery visits for those at a loose end the day before the nuptials.
At previous weddings we’ve been complimented on our little touches. But probably, it’s how we discreetly conduct arrangements in the background during the entire wedding day that provides the greatest peace of mind.
The whole process begins with an in-depth discussion with Felicity & Tim about what you, the couple, have in mind and an agreement on a realistic budget. They then go away, well armed, to create something truly special for your Hunter Valley wedding.
